With Large Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots, Remember to Set Limits

Two big jackpots are up for grabs in the next Mega Millions® and Powerball® drawings. Because of these high jackpots, the Nebraska Lottery reminds customers to set spending and time limits.

Mega Millions logoA string of drawings without a jackpot winner has grown the estimated Mega Millions jackpot to its highest level since October 2025. There have been 36 consecutive drawings since March 20 without a jackpot winner. This run has grown the estimated jackpot for the Friday, July 24 drawing to $743 million or $323.4 million with the cash option selected. This is the 10th largest jackpot in the history of the game.

Powerball has also seen its jackpot grow over the last few months. There have been 35 drawings since May 4 without a jackpot winner. The estimated jackpot for the Saturday, July 25 drawing is $600 million or $266.4 million with the cash option selected.

Powerball logoThe dual jackpot runs have produced some large Nebraska winners.

  • A $20,000 Mega Millions winning ticket for the May 29 drawing was sold at Kwik Stop #14, 230 So Chestnut, Kimball.
  • A $50,000 Powerball winning ticket for the May 30 drawing was sold at Scribner Express, 205 Railroad St, Scribner.
  • A $20,000 Mega Millions winning ticket for the July 10 drawing was sold at Hy-Vee Food Store #2, 1601 N 84th St, Lincoln.
  • A $50,000 Powerball winning ticket for the July 13 drawing was sold at Anderson Convenience Market 140, 2630 S 140th St, Omaha.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record occurred in August 2023 when one winner in Florida won a $1.602 billion jackpot. The largest Powerball jackpot on record occurred in November 2022 when one winner in California won a $2.040 billion jackpot.
