Crofton Man Wins $50,000 Playing Money Clip

Marcus Claussen

Marcus Claussen of Crofton won $50,000 playing the Money Clip Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery.
Claussen’s ticket was purchased at Casey’s General Store #2015 at 1822 North Lincoln Avenue in York. Claussen claimed his prize on January 29 at the Nebraska Lottery’s Lincoln offices.
He said he’s not a regular player but recently had a baby. A friend gave him four Nebraska Lottery Scratch tickets as a gift to celebrate the recent birth and one of them hit the top prize.
Claussen checked the ticket at Lewis and Clark Mini Mart in Crofton before heading to Lincoln to claim his prize.
Claussen said he’s planning on using the money to purchase a new vehicle.
A $5 Scratch game, Money Clip offers players a chance to win prizes from $5 to $50,000. The chances of winning $50,000 are one in 80,000, while the odds of winning any prize are one in 3.55.
