Oakland Woman Claims First Truck$ & Buck$ Truck
Helen Murray of Oakland is the first winner of a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew Flex Fuel truck in the 22nd edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
Murray recently purchased her winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Kwik Shop, 1615 North Bell Street in Fremont. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching numbers in Game 3 for the corresponding truck prize.
Nebraska Lottery officials presented Murray with her prize on Thursday, January 26, at Kwik Shop. She told Nebraska Lottery officials that she came to the store to buy a crossword Scratch ticket, but on a whim she decided to buy a Truck$ & Buck$ ticket. It took some time before Murray realized she had won the Ford F-150 prize. “I thought it wasn’t a winner, so I had to go back inside the store and check,” said Murray. “It’s just wonderful to win. I never planned on winning a big one. I’d be happy if I won $100.”
The 22nd edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s popular $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game features the 2017 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew Flex Fuel truck as its top prize. Players have the opportunity to win one of five Ford F-150 trucks as well as $1.6 million in cash and Ethanol-enriched fuel prizes. The truck prize is valued at $53,500, which includes $1,289 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $2,675 and $13,375, respectively. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ are 1 in 300,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.17.
