Nebraska Lottery to Join Powerball Xs & Os™ Game
In September 2026 Nebraska Lottery players will be able to play Powerball Xs & Os™, a new multi-state game that will be offered by lotteries across the United States.
Powerball Xs & Os™ is a $5 Lotto game with a rolling jackpot that grows each time it is not won. The game will launch on September 8, 2026.
Each Powerball Xs & Os play will cost $5. Players select eight (8) different NFL team logos from a field of 32 for each drawing. To win the jackpot prize, players must match all eight winning teams. A second prize of $20,000 can be won by matching seven winning teams. Other cash prizes range from $500 to $7.
The starting jackpot for Powerball Xs & Os will be $1 million. The odds of winning the Powerball Xs & Os jackpot, which grows every time it is not won, are in 1 10,518,300. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 12.16.
Powerball Xs & Os drawings will be held Sundays at 9:00 p.m. CT. Powerball Xs & Os results are randomly drawn and not based on, determined by, or dependent on the outcome of NFL games. Drawing results will be available at the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com, the Lottery mobile app, and the Lottery Player’s Hotline 800-224-LUCK (402-471-6139 in Lincoln.)
But the excitement doesn't stop with the Sunday drawings for cash prizes. Every Powerball Xs & Os ticket entered at www.PowerballOfficial.com earns points in the new national Powerball promotional prize program, featuring exclusive prize drawings. There is no additional cost to participate beyond the purchase of an eligible Powerball Xs & Os ticket.
To give players a chance to try Powerball Xs & Os when the game launches, coupons for free Powerball Xs & Os plays will randomly print with Powerball ticket purchases between September 1 and September 7. Coupons can be redeemed between September 8 and September 21, 2026.
