Wisconsin Woman Drives Off With Pony Payout Ford Mustang Win
Christina Roberts of Sheboygan, Wisconsin was the winner of a 2026 Ford Mustang GT in Nebraska Lottery’s Pony Payout Second-Chance Promotion.
Roberts grew up in Omaha before moving to Wisconsin and was back in town recovering from surgery at her parents’ house.
“Needless to say, I had some extra time,” she said, “So we played some Scratch tickets.”
Roberts and her mom would buy Pony Payout tickets in hopes of winning the Second Chance drawing and driving away in the 2026 Ford Mustang GT. She was so dedicated, she kept a running list of their entries in an Excell spreadsheet.
They entered all of their non-winning tickets through the Nebraska Lottery’s MVP Club, but they had a few decent winners, Roberts said, including a couple of $50 wins.
When she got the call that she’d been drawn as the winner, she called her mom right away.
“It was unbelievable,” she said. “We were jumping up and down over the phone.”
They’re still deciding who gets full custody of the car, but Roberts said her mom could absolutely take it out for a joy ride and then take it out on the road herself.
“I’m tempted to take it out and really open it up and see how fast it can go.”
The Pony Payout Second Chance Promotion ran from April 20, 2026 through July 28 and offered one grand prize of a 2026 Ford Mustang GT®, 5.0L V8, including the federal and state withholding taxes and cash for a total prize value of $64,400(Ford Mustang GT®, 5.0L V8 $45,571; cash $1,119; federal withholding $15,456; state withholding $2,254).
