Columbus Man Claims Eighth Truck$ & Buck$ Truck
Thomas McPhillips of Columbus is the eighth and final winner of a 2025 Ford F-150 XLT truck in the 30th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
Mc Phillips purchased his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Hy-Vee Food Store #1078 at 3010 23rd St. in Columbus. He was presented with his new truck on Friday, February 27 by Nebraska Lottery officials.
Mc Phillips said it was the newest vehicle he’s ever owned and said he always buys his tickets at Hy-Vee.
The 30th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s popular $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game featured the 2025 Ford F-150 XLT as its top prize. Players had the opportunity to win one of eight Ford F-150 trucks as well as thousands of cash prizes. The truck prize is valued at $79,000, which includes $1,103 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $3,950 and $18,960, respectively. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ were 1 in 336,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.69.
