Grand Island Man Wins $120,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

Stephen Finney of Grand Island won $120,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Finney purchased his winning ticket at Pump & Pantry #54 at 3436 S Locust St. in Grand Island. The ticket contained five plays for the December 14 drawing, one of which matched that night’s winning numbers 01, 02, 03, 06 and 14.

It’s a huge win for him and he’s planning on having some fun and taking a cruise, but he’s also going to be paying off some bills.

A friend of his recently hit it big with a $100,000 win on a Scratch ticket, which, Finney joked, seems like small potatoes.

After finding out he won, the first thing Finney did was call his friend to share the news, and razz him a little bit, saying, “You and your paltry Scratch ticket!”
