Mega Millions® Multi-Draws Reduced for Upcoming Game Changes
To prepare for the upcoming changes to the Mega Millions game in April 2025, the Nebraska Lottery is temporarily reducing the number of drawings that can be purchased on a ticket.
With the upcoming changes to the Mega Millions game, the maximum number of Mega Millions multi-draws that can be purchased on a ticket will be reduced with each successive drawing after the January 14 drawing. Once the final drawing (April 4, 2025) under the game's current matrix has taken place, it will again be possible to purchase multi-draw tickets for up to 24 consecutive drawings.

The changes to Mega Millions take effect in April 2025 according to plans set by the Mega Millions Consortium, a group comprised of the original Mega Millions lotteries that sets the rules of the game. These changes will result in bigger and faster-growing jackpots; a built-in multiplier on every play that automatically improves every non-jackpot prize won; and no breakeven prizes.
