Lincoln Woman Wins $220,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

Lori Sailors of Lincoln won $220,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Sailors purchased her winning ticket at Casey’s #2973 at 3500 N 48th St. in Lincoln. The ticket contained three quick pick plays for the June 22 drawing, one of which matched that night’s winning numbers 04, 11, 22, 24 and 27.

This isn’t Sailors’ first Pick 5 win, but it was her largest. Back in June of 2019 she claimed a $54,000 Pick 5 jackpot.

Both of those wins were on tickets printed by mistakes. This time around, Sailors bought the extra ticket that had accidentally been printed, same as she did in 2019.

“I don’t let the mistakes go,” she said. “I don’t just let them sit there.”

Sailors and her husband Monte said they’re planning on paying off their daughter’s student loan with their winnings and putting the rest in the bank.

Nebraska Pick 5 is Nebraska’s unique Lottery game: all the proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska, and all the winning tickets are sold in Nebraska at Nebraska Lottery Lotto game retailers. The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $10,000 each drawing that is not won, are 1 in 658,008 while the overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings seven nights a week, are 1 in 9.2.
