Shelby Woman Wins $30,000 Playing Money Shark

Lois Mallar of Sidney won $30,000 playing the $5 Money Shark Scratch ticket from the Nebraska Lottery.

Mallar purchased her ticket at Cubby’s at 600 E Park St. in Shelby.

A few years ago Mallar won $500, but nothing close to this, she said.

Mallar said she’s thinking about using some of her winnings to renovate her bathroom or put it toward paying off her house.

A $5 Scratch game, Money Shark offered players a chance to win prizes from  $10 to $30,000. The chances of winning $30,000 were one in 104,000, while the odds of winning any prize were one in 4.86.
