Omaha Woman Wins $200,000 Playing 50X the Cash

Lisa Werthmann of Omaha won $200,000 playing the 50X the Cash Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery.

Werthmann purchased her winning 50X the Cash ticket at Family Fare 776, 5101 Harrison Street in Omaha. The ticket contained matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $200,000.

While claiming her prize on April 4, Werthmann told Nebraska Lottery officials that she scratched the ticket the day before and was very excited to discover that she’d won. "You don't want to know the word that came out of my mouth when I found out,” said Werthmann. She plans to purchase a new vehicle and save for retirement with her winnings.

A $20 Scratch game, 50X the Cash offered players a chance to win prizes from $30 to $200,000. The odds of winning $200,000 were one in 140,000, while the odds of winning any prize were one in 3.05.
