Columbus Man Claims Sixth Truck$ & Buck$ Truck
Dennis Odgaard of Columbus is the sixth winner of a 2023 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab Flex Fuel truck in the 28th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
Odgaard purchased his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Super Saver #18 at 3318 23rd St. in Columbus. He was presented with his new truck at Super Saver on Tuesday, December 5 by Nebraska Lottery officials.
This win isn’t Odgaard’s first, in fact, back in 2004 he won his first pickup from Truck$ & Buck$ on a ticket he bought at Corner Stop in Columbus.
That win didn’t stop him from trying again. Odgaard and his wife Diane have a bit of a routine, about once a week he’ll buy 10 Truck$ & Buck$ tickets and she’ll scratch them off. He had a few small winners, so he decided to trade them in for some fresh Scratch tickets.
“It’s still just as exciting and surprising as the first time,” Diane said.
“It’s a shock,” Dennis added. “Shock. Still a shock.”
The 28th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s popular $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game features the 2023 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew Flex Fuel truck as its top prize. Players have the opportunity to win one of eight Ford F-150 trucks as well as cash and Ethanol-enriched fuel prizes. The truck prize is valued at $81,000, which includes $1,160 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $4,050 and $19,400, respectively. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ are 1 in 336,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.69.
