Powerball Jackpot 2nd Largest Ever; Please Play Responsibly

The Powerball jackpot has been growing since July without a winner. Because of the high jackpot, the Nebraska Lottery reminds customers to play responsibly.

The Powerball jackpot starts at $20 million and continues to grow each drawing until it is won. There have been 35 consecutive Powerball drawings since July 22 without a jackpot winner. This run has grown the estimated jackpot for the Wednesday, October 11 drawing to $1.725 billion or $756.6 million with the cash option selected. This is the 2nd largest jackpot in the history of the game.

This jackpot run has produced six big Powerball winners in Nebraska.

• September 13, 2023: $50,000 winning Double Play ticket sold at Kwik Stop #02, 902 North Jeffers, North Platte.
• September 27, 2023: $50,000 winning ticket sold at Pump & Pantry #06, W 3355 Stolley Park Road, Grand Island.
• September 30, 2023: $100,000 winning Powerball Power Play ticket sold at Anderson Convenience Market 120, 11955 Pacific Street, Omaha.
• October 4, 2023: $50,000 winning ticket sold at Winners Corner, 7314 Harrison St, La Vista.
• October 4, 2023: $50,000 winning ticket sold at Family Fare 774, 5110 So 108th St, Omaha.
• October 7, 2023: $50,000 winning ticket sold at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh #11, 909 So 180th St, Elkhorn.

The largest Powerball jackpot on record occurred in November 2022 when one winner in California won a $2.04 billion jackpot.

Ten jackpots ranging from $2.5 million to $365 million have been won in Nebraska since the Nebraska Lottery began offering Powerball in July of 1994. The largest Powerball jackpot won in Nebraska occurred in February 2006 when a group of eight coworkers at the ConAgra Foods ham and corned beef plant in Lincoln split a $365 million jackpot.
