Douglas Hale of Kearney won $30,000 playing the Pair ‘A’ Dice Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery.

Hale purchased his winning ticket at Pump & Pantry #27 at 4311 2nd Ave. in Kearney.

Hale and his wife Dee drove to Lincoln to claim their prize after waiting a week to cash it in. Hale bought his winning ticket on May 5, exactly one month after claiming a $7,000 prize he won the Nebraska Lottery’s Quick 7s Scratch ticket.

“I even bought it at the same store,” he said.

Hale said he’ll be using some of his winnings to pay off his car.

A $5 Scratch game, Pair ‘A’ Dice offers players a chance to win prizes from $10 to $30,000. The chances of winning $30,000 are one in 96,000, while the odds of winning any prize are one in 4.88.
