Ticket Checking Available in Lottery Mobile App
10/25/21 - 8:00 a.m. Ticket checking in the Nebraska Lottery mobile app has been enabled. No updates are required to scan tickets if you already have the app on your phone. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the App Store.
10/19/21 – 12:50 p.m. The Play it Again feature to replay Lotto tickets has been enabled. Play it Again can be used on tickets purchased today (October 19) and in the future.
The Play it Again feature will not work on tickets purchased before October 19. Please fill out a play slip to purchase a new ticket.
Work continues on ticket checking with the Lottery mobile app. Ticket checking in the app is still disabled. We will provide additional information when it is available.
10/18/21 - 8:30 a.m. Two ongoing issues have been discovered following the recent lottery system conversion.
- Play it Again: The Play it Again Feature for replaying Lotto tickets has been temporarily disabled. On Oct. 17, approximately 560 tickets were created with Play it Again that have incorrect drawing dates. These tickets are still valid but have been tagged in the system with instructions to contact the Lottery for payment. Please contact the Nebraska Lottery at 402-471-6100 if you have one of these tickets.
- Mobile ticket checking: Checking tickets in the Nebraska Lottery mobile app has been temporarily disabled after some errors were discovered. Tickets scanned with the app will instruct players to try again later. Ticket checking is still available with the Check-a-Ticket devices at retailers.
We are working to correct these issues and will provide additional information when it is available.
10/17/21 - 10:25 a.m. The transition to our new gaming system is complete, so tickets can be purchased, checked and cashed again at Nebraska Lottery retailers. Thank you for your patience.
----------------------------------------------
The Nebraska Lottery retailer terminal network will be unavailable Sunday morning while transitioning to a new central gaming system. This process will begin at 3 a.m. CT on Sunday, October 17 and end between noon and 3 p.m. CT later that day.
While the transition is occurring, Lotto tickets cannot be purchased or cashed. Scratch tickets can still be purchased, but prizes cannot be redeemed. Ticket checking with Check-a-Ticket devices and the Lottery mobile app will also be affected.
If you usually purchase Lotto tickets on Sunday mornings, consider buying in advance with multi-draw tickets. You can purchase the same numbers for up to 12 weeks of drawings when you use the multi-draw box on a play slip.
After the transition is complete, the Play it Again feature for replaying tickets will not work on tickets purchased before October 17. Please fill out a play slip to purchase a new ticket. Play it Again can be used to replay tickets purchased after the transition.
Every 10 years or so, the Nebraska Lottery updates and replaces equipment at all lottery retailers. The transition this weekend marks the end of that process. New terminals were installed at Lottery retailers this spring and have been emulating the features of the previous lottery terminal. Now this equipment will be connected to a new central gaming system.
