The Fun Zone Rules and RegulationsUpdated 9/12/2005Rules:1.One entry consists of entering the Fun Zone number from an eligible Scratch game in The Fun Zone via the www.nelottery.com website. Each entry is valid for the current running promotion. 2.Eligible Scratch tickets include $2 Scratch tickets with The Fun Zone logo, such as (new format Fun Zone) Game #357 - Fire & Ice, Game #308 - Double Blackjack, or Game #360 - Lucky 7's Blackjack, or Game #339 – Crazy Kringle Cash, or Game #342 - Doubling Diamonds, or Game #400 - Deck the Halls, or Game #389 - Triple Tripler, or Game#363 White Ice 8's, or Game#388 Ruby Red 7's. The Nebraska Lottery reserves the right to add eligible Scratch games during the promotion period. This list may be updated throughout the promotion.Updates on prizes and eligible games can be found in the Contests & Events area of the Nebraska Lottery website, www.nelottery.com.3.No other tickets or entries are eligible for this promotion, including non-winning Scratch or Lotto games not listed as eligible for entry in rule #2, Scratch games listed in #2 that won a prize, Scratch sample-void tickets, altered or stolen tickets, standard postcards, photocopies, reproductions, facsimiles, or any voided ticket or any likeness of an authentic ticket.4.Entries may be entered through the Nebraska Lottery’s website at www.nelottery.com. Players must keep their entry, since they may be required to turn the physical ticket in to the Nebraska Lottery to claim any prize won (see rule #15). Players cannot enter other Nebraska Lottery promotions with the same entries submitted into this promotion through the mail or via the Internet.5.Entries will be accepted beginning November 1, 2004 or when game(s) 339/342/308/360 (or subsequent games bearing The Fun Zone logo) is/are placed on sale. 6.Entries will be eligible for randomly-drawn periodic prizes through the deadline date for the grand prize drawing. Entries received after 5:00 p.m. (CT) on the current deadline date will not be eligible to win prizes for that month. Those entries will be entered into the following month’s drawing for daily prizes and the grand prize drawing at the end of the month or stated interval.7.Entries entered through the Nebraska Lottery website at www.nelottery.com must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. (CT) on the entry deadline dates to be eligible for that month’s grand prize drawing. The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for entries received after the deadlines. Duplicate website entries will be considered null and void. 8.Only entries received by the appropriate entry deadline date (as listed below) will be eligible for that month’s grand prize drawing. Entries entered at www.nelottery.com after the monthly entry deadline date will be eligible for the next scheduled monthly drawing.9.All eligible entries received by the specified entry deadline dates will be entered into that month’s grand prize drawing. The MVP Club System randomly selects entires to win Nebraska Lottery tickets, merchandise, or cash or cash equivalent prizes.10.Players who win an instant prize after entering eligible ticket serial numbers in The Fun Zone will not be eligible to win that month’s grand prize with that entry. They will receive a message that says, "Congratulations. You've won an instant prize in The Fun Zone. Please allow two to four weeks delivery." (periodic prizes vary for each month). Only players that receive a message that says "Thank you for entering The Fun Zone. Although you did not win an instant prize, you will be entered in the grand prize drawing. Keep your ticket for verification should you win the grand prize. Grand prize drawing is held at the beginning of every month" will be eligible to win that month’s grand prize.11.Players wishing to enter The Fun Zone promotion must be an MVP Club member and at least 19 years of age.12.Players may enter as often as they wish into one monthly drawing, but can win only one prize per day. Although players can win only one prize per day, they can win more than once during the promotion--more than one daily prize and/or a daily prize and the grand prize. Individual players living in the same household may win a prize in the same promotional drawing. There is no limit to the number of entries received per person, per drawing.13.Only one person’s name must appear on the ticket drawn as a winner when presented to the Nebraska Lottery for verification. If multiple winners’ names are placed on one ticket, it will be the responsibility of the individuals listed on the ticket to declare which individual will claim ownership of the prize.14.Winners will be notified by mail and/or phone. Winners may be asked to provide valid identification and complete a claim form. A winner must comply with all instructions in the written prize notification and the winner's complete response (submission of the physical ticket and claim form) must be received by the Nebraska Lottery within thirty (30) days of the date on the written prize notification. If not, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The Nebraska Lottery will make every attempt to contact the winner using the information submitted through the web. 15.Prize winners will be required to furnish the Nebraska Lottery with the actual $2 “Fun Zone” eligible Scratch ticket with the corresponding validation and ticket numbers used to enter the promotion within thirty (30) days from the date issued on the written prize notification from the Nebraska Lottery of their entry being drawn as a winner. Prize winners may not substitute the actual tickets with a fax, photocopy, or other reproductions of the ticket. If the winner is unable to furnish the actual ticket within the stated time limit, no prize will be awarded and the next alternate will be contacted. 16.Entries remaining after the monthly drawing will be null and void and ineligible for entry into any other promotion conducted by the Nebraska Lottery and will be destroyed by the Nebraska Lottery. Entries cannot be returned to the players once they are received by mail.17.Only persons 19 years or older are eligible to enter and win. Winners may be required to furnish proof of age. Entrants must be eligible to purchase and redeem the Nebraska Lottery and otherwise must comply with the Lottery Act, and Rules and Regulations of the Nebraska Lottery.18.The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries entered for each drawing. The Fun Zone does not affect the odds of winning an instant prize in an eligible game.19.By participating in this promotion, prize winners agree to being photographed and videotaped by the Nebraska Lottery, and in having their images, and non-confidential information about them used in advertising, publicity, educational and promotional activities of the Nebraska Lottery. The Nebraska Lottery is not required to provide any additional consideration for these activities. 20.Each person entering this promotion agrees by the act of participation to be bound by these rules and procedures and the statutes and administrative rules and procedures of the Nebraska Lottery.21.No substitution or transfer of prizes will be allowed. Upon delivery of any prize to the winner, the Nebraska Lottery will be deemed to have awarded the prize to the winner with the winner assuming full ownership and responsibility for the prize.22.The Nebraska Lottery makes no express or implied warranties of any kind with respect to the safety, appearance or performance of any prize offered. 23.The Nebraska Lottery and its agencies are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner or other contest information by sponsors or entrants for any reason whatsoever. The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in this promotion contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the sole property of Nebraska Lottery and will not be returned. No telephone calls to confirm receipt of entry will be accepted.24. In the event of an early termination of the promotion, a random drawing will be held among all eligible entries received at the time of termination. The Nebraska Lottery reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found tampering with the entry process, with the operation of the drawing, or the web site. [CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE NEBRASKA LOTTERY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE PROMOTION IF IT BECOMES TECHNICALLY CORRUPTED.]25.The Nebraska Lottery reserves the right to use information from entries following the drawing date to obtain player information for statistical and other purposes. Entries selected in the drawing will be reviewed to determine their compliance with the rules.26.In the event of a dispute arising out of these rules and procedures, a player’s sole remedy is limited to entry into another promotional drawing or event with prizes of a similar value.27.Employees of the Nebraska Lottery, GTECH, Intralot USA, Oberthur Gaming Technologies, Ayres Kahler, and IQ Marketing and their immediate families and members of their households, are ineligible to participate in this promotion.28.Promotion rules and procedures are subject to change as determined necessary or appropriate by the Lottery Director without additional public notice.29. Neither the Nebraska Lottery nor its vendors or suppliers are liable for any damages or delays which result from acts of God, public enemy, earthquake, fire, flood, explosion, epidemic, quarantine, strikes, freight embargoes, closure of all major access roads to a geographic region, weather, or other causes beyond the control of the Nebraska Lottery.30.Any additional local, state, federal or other taxes, expenses or surcharges associated with the prizes not mentioned in these rules are the responsibility of the winner.31.The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for any travel expense related to claiming any prize.32.The daily prizes will be mailed to in-state winners only. Out-of-state daily prize winners will be awarded Nebraska Lottery premiums of equivalent value. Federal restrictions prevent the mailing of tickets across state lines.33.Any prize may be offset for any delinquent taxes or child support payments pursuant to law prior to payment. 34. Any ticket entered by midnight on the last day of the month will be eligible for draws that will occur on the first business day of the month.
