2019 Annual Report Available
By November 1 of each year, the Nebraska Lottery is required by law to deliver its written annual report to the Governor and the Legislature. The report is a public record.
The 2019 Annual Report and Resource Guide (for the fiscal year that began on July 1, 2018, and ended on June 30, 2019) contains a number of notable highlights.
Operations
A manufacturing error on the Holiday Bonus Bucks Scratch game presented challenges to the Lottery and its vendor partners. Research initiatives provided valuable insights into player preferences. And a statewide newspaper insert gave readers a look at Lottery games, retailers, and beneficiaries over the past 25years.
Product Developments
Nebraska’s first $25,000 a year for life prize was won by a Lucky for Life player in Spalding. Lotto voucher promotions continued to drive registrations to the MVP Club at nelottery.com and generate incremental increases in the Power Play and Megaplier add-on game features. And a new approach to game distribution improved the availability of new Scratch game shortly after they were launched.
Strong Sales
Sales of all Nebraska Lottery games (Scratch and Lotto) for the fiscal year totaled $192.2 million.
Beneficiary Fund Contributions
Total contributions to Nebraska Lottery beneficiary funds passed $740 million with the June quarterly transfer. During the fiscal year, Nebraska Lottery beneficiary funds received a total of $46.5 million.
Beyond these highlights, the 2019 Annual Report and Resource Guide contains information about general operations and major winners claimed at Nebraska Lottery claim centers.
