Lincoln Woman Claims Fourth Truck$ & Buck$ Truck
Melissa Bauer of Lincoln is the fourth winner of a 2019 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew Flex Fuel truck in the 24th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
Bauer purchased her winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Casey’s General Store #2721 at 4003 W Hwy 34 in Lincoln.
Nebraska Lottery officials presented Bauer with her prize on Wednesday, May 15 at Casey’s.
Bauer said that she and her mother were buying Nebraska Lottery Scratch tickets to celebrate Mother’s Day and she wound up buying the top prize-winning ticket.
When she scratched off the “truck” symbol, Bauer said she was shocked and started to cry. She kept asking if it was real, she said, and so did her husband, Brock.
“This is the newest vehicle I’ve ever owned,” Bauer said. “This is life changing.”
Typically, Truck$ & Buck$ winners show up toward the end of a presentation event, but Bauer stayed for the whole two hour program, showing off the truck to everyone who walked by. “She fell in love with it at first sight,” Brock said.
Bauer had to wait a few days before she could claim her truck, but said she could barely sleep the night before the presentation.
She’s thinking about a road trip with her husband and children, but her original plans might have to wait a while.
“I would say I want to go mudding,” she said, “But I don’t want to get it dirty.”
