Geneva Man Wins $5,000 Playing Lucky for Life
Jimmy Burklund of Geneva won $5,000 playing Lucky for Life from the Nebraska Lottery.
Burklund purchased the winning ticket from Northside, 1652 N. 4th St. in David City. The ticket matched four of the five winning numbers (12, 13, 21, 26, 36) with the winning Lucky Ball number (6) from the October 5 drawing.
When he claimed his prize, Burklund said he was going to put his money away until it was time to spend money on his grandchildren for Christmas.
Lucky for Life is a multi-state game currently offered by 25 state lotteries. The odds of winning $5,000 playing Lucky for Life are 1 in 143,356, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.
