Omaha Woman Wins $35,000 Playing Bonus Crossword
Loralie Wilkins of Omaha won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Bonus Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.
Wilkins purchased her winning Bonus Crossword ticket at Kwik Shop, 5306 N 103rd St. in Omaha. Scratching the ticket, she revealed 10 complete words in the crossword puzzle for a corresponding prize of $35,000.
Wilkins told Lottery officials that she was not anticipating to win anything when she purchased her ticket. “I never thought it would happen to me,” she said. “I just played for fun.”
Bonus Crossword is a $3 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning $35,000 are 1 in 480,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.40.
