Chester Woman Wins $5,000 Playing MyDaY

Mary McGinley of Chester recently won $5,000 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

This is not McGinley’s first time winning. She won $5,000 playing MyDaY in 2015. Her most-recent MyDaY ticket was purchased at Good to Go in Hebron. The five-play ticket contained one play with the winning Month (02), Day (20), and Year (85) from the June 25 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

McGinley told Lottery officials she has been playing since about 2000 when her friend won $2,000 playing Powerball®. “It’s fun,” she said. “It’s better when you win.”

MyDaY is a Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
