Omaha Man Wins $50,000 Playing Powerball
Dale Habrock of Omaha won $50,000 playing Nebraska Powerball for the drawing on Saturday, January 9.
Habrock purchased his winning ticket at Bag ‘N Save, 5110 South 108th Street in Omaha. The two-play quick pick ticket contained one play with four of the five winning white ball numbers (16, 19, 32, 34, 57) and the Powerball number (13) from the January 9 drawing for $50,000.
While claiming his prize on January 26, Habrock told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after seeing the winning numbers on a local newscast. “I knew I’d won something, but I didn’t know what,” said Habrock. He plans to save his winnings for the future.
Twenty-three Nebraska Lottery players have won the $50,000 Powerball prize to date. The odds of winning $50,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 11,688,053, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9.
