Wood River Woman Wins $200,000 Playing Spectacular 7

Lisa RathmanLisa Rathman won $200,000 playing the Nebraska Lottery’s $20 Scratch game Spectacular 7 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Rathman purchased her winning Spectacular 7 ticket at Casey’s General Store, 4150 West Highway 30 in Grand Island. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $200,000.

There were three $200,000 top prizes available in Spectacular 7. Rathman was the third person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming her prize on February 26, Rathman told Nebraska Lottery officials that she hadn’t planned on purchasing a Spectacular 7 ticket when she stopped at the store. “I was going in to get a Powerball ticket, but I decided to pick up a Spectacular 7 ticket instead,” said Rathman. “I had to check the ticket three or four times before I was sure I’d won.” She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

Spectacular 7 was a $20 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offered players the chance to win $10 million in cash prizes from $20 to $200,000. The odds of winning $200,000 playing Spectacular 7 were 1 in 240,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 2.39.
