Hastings Man Wins $5,000 Playing Mega Millions
Derrick Hoagland of Hastings won $5,000 playing Mega Millions from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 16,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, December 5 drawings. Hoagland purchased his winning Mega Millions ticket at Casey’s General Store, 810 West 16th Street in Hastings. The ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (4, 5, 11, 51, 59) and the Mega Ball number (5) for a corresponding prize of $5,000.
Twenty Nebraska Lottery players have won the $5,000 Mega Millions prize to date.
Mega Millions is a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 46 lotteries across the United States. The odds of winning $5,000 playing Mega Millions are 1 in 739,688, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 14.7.
