Anderson purchased his winning Holiday Gifts ticket at Tag’s One Stop, 2507 South 11th Street in Nebraska City. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $10,000.
There are three $10,000 top prizes available in Holiday Gifts. Anderson is the second person to claim a top prize to date.
While claiming his prize on January 24, Anderson told Nebraska Lottery officials that he had a specific reason for purchasing Holiday Gifts tickets. “I saw on the Prizes Remaining sheet that there were two top prizes left and not many tickets left, so I decided to pick some up,” said Anderson. He said it was “exciting” to win the top prize, and plans to buy a new car using his winnings.
