Elkhorn Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

Kevin McCormack January 30, 2014 – Kevin McCormack of Elkhorn recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 12,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, January 8 drawings. O’Brien purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Anderson Food Shop, 17915 Arbor Street in Omaha. The quick pick ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (2, 9) and winning white ball numbers (16, 26) from the January 8 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and thirteen Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on January 13, McCormack told Nebraska Lottery officials that he received coupons for free 2by2 tickets at an office holiday party. He used one of the coupons to buy his winning ticket. “When I checked my ticket later, I couldn’t believe it,” said McCormack. He had no immediate plans for his prize.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
