$10,000 Mega Millions® Prize for North Platte Man

August 7, 2013 – Larry Rief of North Platte recently won $10,000 playing Mega Millions from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 8,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, July 5 drawings. Among these winners was Rief, who purchased his winning Mega Millions ticket at Prairie Mart, 747 East North Lake Road in North Platte. The ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (2, 23, 41, 47, 54) and the Mega Ball® number (42) for a $10,000 prize.

Fifty-six Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Mega Millions prize to date.

Mega Millions is a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 44 lotteries across the United States. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Mega Millions are 1 in 689,065, while the overall odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 40.
