Lincoln Woman Wins $5,000 MyDaY Prize

February 17, 2012– Marcia Weddle of Lincoln recently won $5,000 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 8,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, January 23 drawings. Among these winners was Weddle, who purchased her winning MyDaY ticket at Kwik Shop, 4400 O Street in Lincoln. The five-play ticket contained one play with the winning Month (6), winning Day (12), and winning Year (04) from the January 23 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

Two hundred and twenty Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on January 24, Weddle told Nebraska Lottery officials that she “couldn’t believe it” when she checked the winning numbers at nelottery.com and realized she was a MyDaY top prize winner. She plans to take a cruise using her winnings.

MyDaY is a Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
