2011 Annual Report Available
November 1, 2011 - By November 1 of each year, the Nebraska Lottery is required by law to deliver its written annual report to the Governor and the Legislature. The report is a public record.
The 2011 Annual Report and Resource Guide (for the fiscal year that began on July 1, 2010 and ended on June 30, 2011) contains a number of notable highlights.
Product Developments
During the fiscal year, the Nebraska Lottery released its first 3-D Scratch game: Green Lantern® based on the popular DC Comics® character. Plans were also finalized to enhance the multi-state Powerball game starting on January 15, 2012.
Operations
During the summer of 2011, the Nebraska Lottery upgraded equipment at approximately 1,200 retail locations as part of a new system contract with GTECH Corporation. These upgrades provide multiple benefits for Lottery retailers and players.
Strong Sales
Sales of all Nebraska Lottery games (Scratch and Lotto) for the fiscal year totaled nearly $132 million.
Beneficiary Fund Contributions
Total contributions to Nebraska Lottery beneficiary funds passed $413 million with the June quarterly transfer. During the fiscal year, Nebraska Lottery beneficiary funds received a total of $32 million.
