$10,003 Powerball Prize for North Platte Man

February 8, 2010 – Lonnie Pavel of North Platte recently won a total of $10,003 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 19,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, January 27, drawings. Among these winners was Pavel, who purchased his winning Powerball ticket at the Pump & Pantry, 2601 Eagle’s Wings Place in North Platte. The quick pick ticket contained five plays. One play on the ticket contained four of the five white ball numbers (6, 15, 20, 26, 31) and the Powerball number (9) from the January 27 drawing for $10,000.

A second play on the ticket matched the Powerball number for $3, making Pavel’s total winnings $10,003.

Two hundred and seventy-one Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 723,145, and the odds of winning $3 are 1 in 62. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 35.11.
