Legislative Update LB 403

October 1, 2009--Effective October 1, the Nebraska Lottery will require all new contractors to use the US Citizenship and Immigration Services' E-Verify program to verify the work eligibility status of newly hired employees physically performing services within the State of Nebraska.

Information on the E-Verify program can be found at www.uscis.gov.

Applicants who are sole proprietors will also need to complete and submit an Attestation Form click here.

These new requirements will only affect those contracts entered into on or after October 1, 2009.
