$22,000 2by2 Prize for Kearney Man
June 3, 2008 – James McGraw of Kearney recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 6,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Thursday, May 29, drawings. Among these winners was McGraw, who purchased a quick pick 2by2 ticket at Bob's Wine & Spirit, 620 East 25th Street in Kearney. The ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (2, 3) and white ball numbers (5, 18) from the May 29 drawing for the $22,000 top prize.
McGraw wasted no time in claiming his prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters on the morning of May 31. He told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned of his win after calling the Nebraska Lottery Player’s Hotline (800-224-LUCK). McGraw plans to pay bills using his $22,000 prize.
One hundred and fifty-one Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.
2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.59.
