Cambridge Man Wins $100,000 Playing The Big $10 Ticket

January 5, 2012– Kevin Maly of Cambridge won $100,000 playing The Big $10 Ticket from the Nebraska Lottery.

Maly purchased his winning Big $10 Ticket at Uncle Neal’s, 401 Grand Avenue in Ravenna. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $100,000.

There are three $100,000 top prizes available in The Big $10 Ticket. Maly is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on December 12, 2011, Maly told Nebraska Lottery officials that he was surprised to win the $100,000 prize. “I was scratching off the ticket and thinking, ‘If this isn’t a winner, I’ll get another one,’” said Maly.  “Then the second to last number was a match. I couldn’t believe it.” He plans to pay bills and save his winnings for the future.

The Big $10 Ticket is a $10 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $2.2 million in cash prizes from $10 to $100,000. The odds of winning the $100,000 top prize are 1 in 102,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.28.
