$10,000 Powerball Prize for Lincoln Man

Michael Gerhart of Lincoln recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 17,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, February 4, drawings. Among these winners was Gerhart, who purchased his winning ticket at Super C, 3275 Sheridan Boulevard in Lincoln. The quick pick ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (24, 36, 51, 52, 56) and the Powerball number (22) from the February 4 drawing for $10,000.

Four hundred and seventy-six Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date.

While claiming his prize on February 9, Gerhart told Nebraska Lottery officials that he purchased his winning ticket while stopping for gas at Super C. He learned he had won after checking his ticket against the winning numbers a few days later. “I was looking at the ticket, and I kept saying, ‘I’ve got that one, and that one, and the Powerball number.’ I couldn’t believe it.” He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 648,975, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 31.8.
