Stromsburg Man Wins $150,000 Playing Ca$hword Extravaganza

Tim PetersTim Peters of Stromsburg won $150,000 playing the $15 Scratch game Ca$hword Extravaganza from the Nebraska Lottery.

Peters purchased his winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 451 Highway 81 in Osceola. Scratching the ticket, he revealed 11 complete words for a corresponding prize of $150,000.

There are three $150,000 top prizes available in Ca$hword Extravaganza. Peters is the first person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on August 11, Peters told Nebraska Lottery officials that he purchased his winning ticket after stopping at Casey’s General Store to buy a pop. He said he was “surprised” to win, and plans on paying bills using his winnings.

Ca$hword Extravaganza is a $15 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers player the chance to win $3 million in cash prizes from $15 to $150,000. The odds of winning $150,000 playing Ca$hword Extravaganza are 1 in 100,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 2.63.
