$22,000 2by2 Prize for Auburn Woman

Jean Ward April 1, 2014 – Jean Ward of Auburn recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 2,300 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Sunday, March 23 2by2 drawing. Ward received her winning ticket as a prize after cashing in another 2by2 ticket at Glen’s Corner Market, 1017 13th Street in Auburn. The quick pick ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (24, 26) and winning white ball numbers (5, 26) from the March 23 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and seventeen Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

Ward is a second-time winner of the 2by2 jackpot, first winning it in June of 2006. She checked the numbers online and did a double take after realizing she had more than just a couple numbers correct.

“It was great to see,” Ward said. “I’m going to save it for a rainy day.”

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
