Auburn Man Wins $15,000 Playing Gumball Gems

March 25, 2014 – Tony Oldfield of Auburn won $15,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Gumball Gems from the Nebraska Lottery.

Oldfield purchased his winning Gumball Gems ticket at Shell Speedee Mart, 802 J Street in Auburn. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $15,000.

There are three $15,000 top prizes available in Gumball Gems. Oldfield is the first person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on March 6, Oldfield told Nebraska Lottery officials that he “didn’t believe it” when he scratched off the ticket and saw that he had won $15,000. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

Gumball Gems is a $2 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $466,590 in cash prizes from $2 to $15,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Gumball Gems are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 4.05.
