$10,000 Mega Millions® Prize for Hastings Man

October 23, 2013 – James Kaufman of Hastings recently won $10,000 playing Mega Millions from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 9,600 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Tuesday, September 24 drawings. Among these winners was Kaufman, who purchased his winning Mega Millions ticket at Git ‘N Split, 819 East South Street in Hastings. The five-play quick pick ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (4, 11, 32, 39, 40) and the Mega Ball® number (33) for a $10,000 prize.

Sixty Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Mega Millions prize to date.

Mega Millions is a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 44 lotteries across the United States. Prior to October 22, the odds of winning $10,000 playing Mega Millions were 1 in 689,065, and the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 40.
