Columbus Woman Wins $4,000 Playing Sodbusting

Kim Wills June 15, 2012 – Kim Wills of Columbus won $4,000 playing the $1 Scratch game Sodbusting from the Nebraska Lottery.

Wills purchased her winning Sodbusting ticket at Reynoldson’s Shell, 905 South 13th Street in Norfolk. Scratching the ticket, she revealed one winning “plow” symbol with a corresponding prize of $4,000.

There are three $4,000 top prizes available in Sodbusting. Wills is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

Sodbusting is a $1 Scratch game that is designed to commemorate the 150th year of the Homestead Act. The game gives players the chance to win $61,611 in cash prizes from $1 to $4,000. The odds of winning the $4,000 top prize in Sodbusting are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.55.
