Columbus Woman Wins $4,000 Playing Sodbusting

June 15, 2012 – Kim Wills of Columbus won $4,000 playing the $1 Scratch game Sodbusting from the Nebraska Lottery.

Wills purchased her winning Sodbusting ticket at Reynoldson’s Shell, 905 South 13^th Street in Norfolk. Scratching the ticket, she revealed one winning “plow” symbol with a corresponding prize of $4,000.

There are three $4,000 top prizes available in Sodbusting. Wills is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

Sodbusting is a $1 Scratch game that is designed to commemorate the 150th year of the Homestead Act. The game gives players the chance to win $61,611 in cash prizes from $1 to $4,000. The odds of winning the $4,000 top prize in Sodbusting are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.55.
