$7,000 Quick 7’s Prize for Beatrice Man

June 16, 2010 – Richard Garton of Beatrice won $7,000 playing the $1 Scratch game Quick 7’s from the Nebraska Lottery.

Garton purchased his winning Quick 7’s ticket at Denny's Liquor, 566 West Court Street in Beatrice. Scratching the ticket, he revealed one winning “7” symbol with a corresponding prize of $7,000.

There are four $7,000 top prizes available in Quick 7’s. Garton is the second person to claim a top prize in this edition of the game.

While claiming his prize on June 11, Garton told Nebraska Lottery officials that he didn’t believe he had won the $7,000 top prize after scratching off the ticket. “I thought it was a joke at first,” he said. Garton plans to pay bills using his winnings.

Quick 7’s is a $1 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $1,476,250 in cash prizes from $2 to $7,000. The odds of winning $7,000 in Quick 7’s are 1 in 1,440,000, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.60.
