$2,500 Beginner’s Luck Prize for Fremont Woman

March 5, 2010 – Mary Nelson of Fremont won $2,500 playing the $1 Scratch game Beginner’s Luck from the Nebraska Lottery.

Nelson purchased her winning Beginner’s Luck ticket at Quik Pik, 2010 Bell Street in Fremont. Scratching the ticket, she revealed one winning “horseshoe” symbol with a corresponding prize of $2,500.

There were five $2,500 top prizes available in Beginner’s Luck. Nelson was the fourth person to claim a top prize to date.

Beginner’s Luck was a $1 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offered players the chance to win $383,300 in cash prizes from $1 to $2,500. The odds of winning the $2,500 top prize in Beginner’s Luck were 1 in 144,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.74.
