Kearney Man Wins $2,750 Playing Nebraska Pick 3

November 13, 2009 – Eric Nelson of Kearney won a total of $2,750 playing Nebraska Pick 3 from the Nebraska Lottery.

For the October 24 drawing, Nelson purchased a five-play Nebraska Pick 3 ticket at Holiday, 1420 S Locust Street in Grand Island. Four plays on the ticket contained the winning numbers 9, 1, 7 with the Straight bet type selected for $600 each, for a total of $2,400.

The fifth play contained the winning numbers with the Straight/Box bet type for $350, making Nelson’s total winnings $2,750.

To date, over 2,816 players have won the $600 top prize in Nebraska Pick 3.

Nebraska Pick 3 was introduced in May of 2005. Nebraska Pick 3 sales have exceeded $9 million and provided more than $2 million for Nebraska Lottery beneficiary funds. The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 3 $600 top prize are 1 in 1,000 and the odds of winning any prize vary with the bet type selected.
