There were more than 26,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, May 20, drawings. Among these winners was Versaw, who purchased his winning Powerball ticket at Roc's Stop & Shop, 2030 South 27th Street in Lincoln. The three-play ticket contained one play with four of the five winning white ball numbers (23, 30, 31, 35, 42) and the Powerball number (6) from the May 20 drawing for a corresponding prize of $10,000.

Two hundred and thirty-seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date.

While claiming his prize on June 1, Versaw told Nebraska Lottery officials that he was “excited” to win the $10,000 Powerball prize. He learned he had won after checking the winning numbers at the Nebraska Lottery web site, nelottery.com. Versaw plans to pay bills using his winnings.

The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 723,145, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 35.11.
