Omaha Man Wins $10,000 Powerball Prize

July 1, 2008 – David Shere of Omaha recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 17,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Saturday, June 28, drawings. Among these winners was Shere, who purchased a two-play ticket for the June 28 draw at Hy-Vee, 3505 L Street in Omaha. One play on the ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (14, 26, 32, 34, 44) and the Powerball number (6) for a corresponding prize of $10,000.

One hundred and eighty-seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
