Contestants Win Trips and Cash Prizes in Wheel of Fortune Second-Chance Promotion
In front of a large crowd at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, nine players gathered on August 28 to find out who would be travelling to Los Angeles on a Wheel of Fortune VIP Trip.
After a series of elimination rounds, two finalists remained in the Grand Prize drawing. Bobbi Bianco of Lincoln, who was acting as a proxy for her husband Mark Bianco, and Terry Selvage of Lincoln took turns selecting one of 12 party poppers. Only one of the poppers had not been disabled. After nine unsuccessful attempts, Bianco took another turn at selecting a popper. With a bang and a flurry of confetti, the popper burst, confirming that Bianco was the Grand Prize winner.
Between April and August, Nebraska Lottery players entered over 17,000 non-winning $10 Wheel of Fortune Scratch tickets in the Wheel of Fortune Second-Chance Promotion. Three preliminary drawings were held in June, July, and August to select the nine semifinalists who competed in the Grand Prize drawing.
