Nebraska Lottery Releases Sriracha-Scented Scratch Game

The Nebraska Lottery is spicing up their Scratch lineup with $2 Hot Sriracha, the world’s first sriracha-scented lottery game.
Each Hot Sriracha ticket contains a specially-designed scent that replicates the scent of the famous sriracha hot sauce. The $2 Scratch game offers three $15,000 top prizes and a total of $468,390 in cash prizes.
“Sriracha sauce has a dedicated base of fans that enjoy its spicy hot taste,” said Jill Marshall, Acting Lottery Director. “With such loyal fans, we felt a Scratch game with a sriracha scent would have a unique appeal for our players. And to our knowledge, Hot Sriracha is the first sriracha-scented Scratch game ever made.”
The Lottery will be firing up the Hot Sriracha game at a launch event at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island on Saturday, Aug. 29. Fairgoers that stop by the Lottery event trailer between noon and 2 p.m. will be able buy Hot Sriracha tickets and take The Sriracha Challenge, a blind smell test to see just how much the Hot Sriracha game smells like actual Sriracha sauce. There will also be a drawing to win a $100 Ethanol-enriched fuel gift card and $100 in Hot Sriracha Scratch tickets.
The Hot Sriracha Scratch game will be available soon at Nebraska Lottery retailers. The odds of the $15,000 top prize are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.82.
