Gilead Woman Wins $15,000 Playing Dazzling 7s

Nicole Virus of Gilead won $15,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Dazzling 7s from the Nebraska Lottery.

Virus purchased her winning ticket at 81 Express, 1375 Dove Road in Hebron where she is employed. Scratching the ticket, Virus matched one of her numbers with a winning number that had a corresponding prize of $15,000.

There are three $15,000 top prizes available in Dazzling 7s. Virus is the first person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on July 28, Virus told Nebraska Lottery officials that she’s been playing Nebraska Lottery Scratch games for about two years, as long as she’s been old enough to play.

“I was crying and shaking when I found out I won,” Virus said. She intends to use her winnings to purchase a car.

Dazzling 7s is a $2 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $470,190 in cash prizes from $2 to $15,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Dazzling 7s are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 4.21.
