Lincoln Man Wins $10,000 Playing Lucky Chicks

Steve Stevenson won $10,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Lucky Chicks from the Nebraska Lottery.

Stevenson purchased his winning Lucky Chicks ticket at IGA Marketplace, 4646 West Huntington Avenue in Lincoln. Scratching the ticket, he matched one of his numbers to a winning number for a $10,000 corresponding prize.

Lucky Chicks had three $10,000 top prizes, and the odds of winning a top prize were 1 in 360,000. Stevenson was the third person to claim a top prize in the game. The overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.65.

While claiming his prize on July 28, Stevenson told Nebraska Lottery officials that he and his wife usually purchase Nebraska Lottery Last Shot! games. A Last Shot game has one top prize left and a limited supply of tickets left. Stevenson said that, after depositing his check, he and his wife were going to celebrate with a steakhouse dinner in Omaha.
