Fremont Woman Wins $14,777 Playing Sizzling Summer 7s

Jolene IrvinJolene Irvin of Fremont won $14,777 playing the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Sizzling Summer 7s Red Hot Rubies game.

Irvin purchased her winning ticket at Baker’s Supermarket, 1532 North Bell Street in Fremont. Irvin claimed one of three top prizes available by scratching her ticket to reveal a “7” that corresponded with her prize.

While claiming her prize on June 16, Irvin told Nebraska Lottery officials that she usually plays Nebraska Lottery’s Blackout Bingo but had noticed the store had few Bingo tickets left, so she decided to try a different game. “I’m glad I did,” said Irvin.

Sizzling Summer 7s Red Hot Rubies is one of three Sizzling Summer 7s Scratch games the Nebraska Lottery is offering during the summer of 2015. The overall odds of winning the $14,777 top prize in Red Hot Rubies are 1 in 120,000, while the odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.43.
