Steele City Woman Wins $10,000 Playing Powerball

Jan HendersonJan Henderson of Steele City recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 13,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Saturday, March 21 drawings. Among these winners was Henderson, who purchased her winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 622 E Street in Fairbuy. The quick pick ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (11, 16, 30, 38, 42) and the Powerball number (7) from the March 21 drawing for $10,000.

Four hundred and eighty Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date. Henderson plans to pay bills using her winnings.

The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 648,975, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 31.8.
